Quarterly Update - Spring 2026

With Spring here at last, there is a lot to do to prepare for installations later this year. We now stand at a total of 58 installations at a 'had they been paid for' value of £1.5 million and we look forward to achieving another nine this year taking this total to over £1.7 million

Our target is 75 by 2028 with a huge £2 million value and we plan to mark this milestone this with a celebration dinner. Watch this space!

Our website platform to repurpose AV products to good causes in the UK,
GivingBack.tech, is launching in May and is a hugely exciting development for our industry but it needs us all to engage with it. Please visit the site, become a donor and help make it happen....

 Best wishes for now,

Ian Morrish, Founder and Managing Director, Together For Cinema CIC

However, if you know of any charitable family care venue that could benefit from our offering, please do let me know.  Looking ahead we already have installations booked in for both 2027 and 2028 so the journey will continue, as long as we keep securing your support.

CHARITABLE PARTNER GRANTS UPDATE

We are facing difficult times for Together For Cinema with our Charitable Grants down 25% year on year. If you're yet to renew, please contact Ian to arrange this or maybe even increase your level? We know it was a challenging year in 2025 with closures, mergers or just limited funds governing this. However, it is now vital that we secure new Charitable Partners to help us continue to develop our journey. With this in mind, and if you're not already – can you help by becoming a new Charitable Partner of Together For Cinema?

Since its inception Together For Cinema, in collaboration with the AV industry, has delivered up to, and I hope beyond, expectation. For this delivery to continue we need continued support, increased support and new support funding.

We are more than aware that times are challenging at the moment but if we're able to secure 'a little from a lot', it makes a huge difference. We want to be able to continue to develop other channels to give back to our community. Our current list of Charitable Partners reads like a 'Who's Who' of our industry, though there are few of you missing from this list!

The levels at which you, and/or your industry contacts can support are as follows:-

Bronze (£500)    Silver (£1,000)    Gold (£2,500)

Platinum (£5,000)    Diamond (£10,000)

Please contact Ian Morrish at ian@togetherforcinema.co.uk to discuss what options are open to you, and what difference you can help make. We have some very exciting plans this year, but the difference we make to so many lives can only continue with your support......

FUNDRAISING UPDATE

We now focus on preparing for the coming year and our London to Brighton 55 mile cycle ride on Sunday 13th September. Currently we have 34 riders committed, and our target is at least 50 as per 2025. We are also delighted to have our first female riders, Keziah and Zahraa from Amina Technologies and we hope this encourages more of you ladies to join us. It really is a great day and I know that all the riders have enjoyed being part of the team. We will supply you with a Team TFC sponsored lycra cycle shirt with our various sponsor logos on, as well as a Fundraising Plaque for you to display in your office. The Post Race Drinks Reception will again be hosted by Alltrade, and is at the Bison Beach Bar on Madeira Drive, only 200 yards after the finish line.

For any small Charity or Community Interest Company 'that little bit extra' secured by fundraising is important for so many reasons. Of course the financial benefits are obvious but the increased PR, the potential coming together of an industry community and of course the fun factor are all important add-ons to helping make a difference.

Following on from our £1,000 Community Hero monthly award from Selco Builders Warehouse last year, we were delighted to be told that we had made it to their list of ten finalists from 10,000 applicants for their annual Community Hero Award and voting took place in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The winners were announced in January at their annual conference, and Ian was invited to an amazing dinner reception to receive the 2nd place prize of £5,000.

Beyond the money, to have national recognition that what we're doing is received well and supported by an organisation like Selco Builders extends our community reach. Winning drives us on to continue to deliver positive change in the community and makes our next installation that little bit easier to complete. Totally overwhelmed, Ian responded with
"Thank you to Selco Builders Warehouse for recognising the smaller causes that need support. Thank you to everyone who voted, and a huge thank you to those across the audio visual industry who help us make a positive difference in our community."

GIVING BACK.TECH

This month we have just launched GivingBack.tech to the AV industry, a new initiative developed by Ian Morrish, following on from the success of Together For Cinema, connecting surplus AV equipment with charities and community organisations across the UK. We were thrilled to feature in the following publications:

Hidden Wires - rAVe - AV Interactive - LSIONline

Essential Install - Installation International - AV Magazine

Auditoria Magazine - Fast And Wide - Inavate Magazine

We are delighted to have our industry colleagues help spread the word as it's so important that we have the AV industry behind us with our new initiative and with this is mind, please can we ask that you sign up as a donor and list product We need the site to be populated with the surplus equipment that so many of you have mentioned could benefit the good causes that have registered as beneficiaries.

We'd like to say a BIG thank you to Crestron for coming on board as the first Founding Partner and supporting the early stages of this initiative. If you're interested in getting involved, either by donating equipment or becoming a partner, you can find out more by going to www.GivingBack.tech.

This site can only work and develop if we all embrace it and help make it work. Our initial contact with the charities and CICs will be in May 2026 so we need product on the site ready!

IN CLOSING

Together For Cinema continues to gather momentum, and I find it amazing that it's only 3 years since we became a registered Community Interest Company. This success is due to so many factors, but the strongest of which is the comprehensive and widespread industry support, for which myself and my co-directors are truly grateful.

Our Directors meeting next week enables us to discuss the positive difference we can all make. We all have certain charities that means something very personal to us, but to make a positive difference by giving back to the community what we all take for granted day in day out, is now a social responsibility that we must continue to deliver.

The GivingBack.tech website is an extremely exciting development and one that will take time to really have an impact. However, rather than chatting about it, we've 'got up and got on' with it and I am optimistic that we have created a medium that will develop into a high traffic industry to good cause channel to give back, and of course repurpose excess AV equipment that might otherwise have been binned and ultimately landfilled but.....

we can't do it without you!
