Together For Cinema is delighted to have opened it's 26th good cause cinema room installation. This was at the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in Huddersfield and there was an official opening day on Friday 6th August.
Installed on behalf of Together For Cinema by CEDIA installer Bespoke Home Cinemas from Leeds, the installation is another fabulous showpiece of what can be achieved when an industry pulls together. A big thanks must go to Melanie and Gifford Malcolm for all of their hard work to design, gather, install and demonstrate. They both, as well as their team, worked tirelessly to make it happen and deliver a cinema room that would normally cost in the region of £40,000 if it had been paid for.
Yet again the AV industry came up trumps and a huge thank you from us all to AWE, Cinema Build Systems, Collingwood Lighting, Control4, Denon, Desmond and Sons, Epson, Future Automation, Habitech, HDANYWHERE, LT Design, Middle Atlantic, Monitor Audio, QMotion, Rako, Sony and Starscape. WIthout your help and generousity the difference that has been made would not have been possible. Having seen some of the children and their parents, and of course the carers and other staff, enjoying the room I can assure you your heart would sing at the difference you have helped to make.
So, 26 down and 24 to go reach out 50 by 2026 target! Ambitious I know, but we will do all we can to get there... The next opening is on September 15th at The Rose Road Association in Southampton. More updates to follow soon!
